Jessica Smith, yet again, takes our #2 spot. I love these 20-minute, relaxing yoga routines because they are easy enough for anyone to perform, but effective enough to provide the needed results – enhanced balance, coordination, and flexibility.
I also like that it has a customized menu so you can choose one or several of the four 20-minutes exercises, depending on your body’s moods and needs. You can flow through all the routines or perform each one separately – as long as it works for you.
Flow 1 of the series exercises the neck and shoulders, letting off the tension, stress while opening up the joints. I like this second release of Elements of Yoga by Tara Lee because of its simple but effective yoga routines for developing flexibility. As its title implies, the different exercises and routines were designed to flow with us – like water and air.
You’d be amazed at how light the exercises will make you feel as you open up or expand the chest while flowing with the different movements and postures like water. Practicing the routines creates space within the body, connecting various fluid movements with breathing and opening up the heart’s centre.
The DVD contains three 20-minute exercises that can be viewed individually or in succession – you can choose which one will work for you. It also comes with four bonuses: 10-minute balance series, 10 minutes of core training, 10 minutes of breathing routines, and 5 minutes of relaxation.

How to Choose the Right DVD for You
Among the most important factors to consider when selecting the right yoga DVD is your main purpose for doing the exercise. Why do you want to try out yoga? If you want increased flexibility, then you need to have DVDs with programs and routines designed to improve your flexibility.
There are several important features you must look into to verify if a yoga DVD is worth your time and money and you need to be aware of these features. The best yoga DVDs should contain the features that you need to reach your goals.
A clear description of the contents
The best yoga DVD should clear on its components and tell you immediately what you will get out of it. A description of its contents on the DVD’s cover will help you verify whether it contains the features you need to achieve your goals such as the skill level and routines it teaches.
Variety of routines
The more options you have for routines, the better. Look at the yoga DVD for various routines that you can select from. It would be great if the different routines cover several yoga postures. While you may be doing the same routine every session, you won’t have to worry about getting bored as your body experiences different postures and routines with different benefits.
Skill levels available
Not all skill levels may work for you, but the best yoga DVD should give you a variety of skill levels to choose from. Ideally, it should at least contain a beginner’s level routine and intermediate level. While an advanced level isn’t necessary, it would also be a great bonus if you’re looking to get the most out of your journey.
